I am on blueyonder, and my provider will only let me use the blueyonder smtp server, if I try to use any other, it is prevented. Why are such restictions used? I know I can get around it by using webmail (such as hotmail), but I would like a fast alternative smtp set up (such as yahoo smtp), and my provider will just not have it. I just want to make sure the headers on the email don`t contain my blueyonder email address.

    HELP!!!

    Chris

for what purpose would you like to disguise your ip?

perhaps you could email the blueyonder tech support and ask them why they block other smtp servers...?

    ur isp is gay

this is absolutely bullshit unless they are taking spam prevention to the extreme

just phone up their tech support and bitch the shit out of them

    or just switch isp altogether

I have a right to my privacy. Tech support say no supplier allows 3rd party smtp servers, but no reason was given
