Thread: 7-zip And Video Files

    7-ZIP has the best compression ratio , but for video files is there something like 7-zip with a high compression ratio ?

    and KVCD there is no other way to compress them better

    sure there is just put a divx file in a zip file and it's slightly smaller lol what about uharc will that compress video

    videos are already compressed, same thing with mp3s, if u do compress em, u will get like 2-3megs difference--even at that

    how do u compress file? i recorded something w/ my tv tuner and its 1 gig in size for 1hour worth. how do i compress that to a smaler size?

    You gotta encode it. You probably recorded it as uncompressed, so use a program to encode it to Divx, or other format. I usually use TmpgEnc to encode movies.

    yeah tmpgenc is good also i think you can do it with virtual dub
