Thread: Sound Card Jumpers

    OK i got this Soundblaster 16 and i'm gonna give it to me friend. But when i had the card when i was younger i switched a couple of the rubber things jumpers to something else and now i'm not sure if it's gonna work. I don't wanna test it because i'm afraid it will break my computer

    Go to their website and look in the manual for your card.
    Then set the jumpers back to default.

    Jumpers on a soundcard??...

    since when did sound cards have jumpers?

    look, if u did screw these "jumpers," chances are that ur PC will still work (hardware isnt known to "break" PCs unless theres a bomb inside)

    i remember ISA&#33; back in the days of adding extra processors... sooooo fun

    i was only about 7 then but i went 2 a place that deals with old PCs and i saw how it worked

    Ya it&#39;s an ISA card pull it from a pc that had Windows 3.1

    my network card is ISA.....

    no seriously.... i do remember isa cards tho... i still got a computer here (functional) that works with em....

    even with the extra card that gives the board an extra IDE

    aint that cool?
