First,

Most ISP DO NOT want logs of any type. They are a pain in the butt to maintain. In most cases they store the last time you logged in.

There are only two cases where an ISP will track your activity.

    1. You are a high end users eating up tons of bandwidth. They do this to find an excuse to get ride of you.

    2. You are a "abuse case" and RIAA is knocking on the door with a subpena, then the ISP may or may not start tracking you down. Which is a pain for a large ISP.

    -------------------------------------
    Secondly,

With AnonX all your ISP sees is encrypted VPN traffic. Perfect it. There is no reason for the ISP to block you, turn you off, or .......
    Is this true? [/b][/quote]

Kazaa Lite may make 1-10 new connections a second while even just 'idling away' if you have even a handful (fewer than 20) unfinished downloads.

Going to web pages often opens more than 1 connection as well, due to many web banners being on different ips/servers.

Logging ALL the connection attempts (even failed ones) and duration could overwhelm an ISP that tries to do that for everyone.

It's a BIG DEAL just for Verizon to track whether/when someone using their service is online and what their ip address is. When RIAA started demanding names on such a large scale, they said they'd have a hard time getting that info fast enough... even if they WANTED to!

If your internet provider has had a request to "crack down" on a particular download, ie. a movie file, as of late: 21 Grams. Your provider will look for users who have downloaded this file and send out a warning to you about copyright infringement. At least, that's how it works in Canada at the moment.
