I dont think 56k optimizers would work, you suppose to be getting <7KB
EDIT: But I suggest using TCP Optimizer from speedguide.net http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php
BACK UP YOUR CURRENT SYSTEM SETTINGS IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THIS, in the program, go to file > backup current settings
like mike said, ur not gonna get faster than 7kB/s...there are no "internet boosters" all they do is store parts of a webpage to ur hdd and then when u go bac it loads faster b/c its on ur pc

Internet turbo is damn pretty good optimizer.
It isn't your modem which speeds up by using a so called booster (TCP/IP Optimizer is really working. Get it.), but your Windows environment is being optimized for the connection you have (MTU values and so on).

Thanks for the replies I will try TCP Optimizer and tell u how it goes.
**EDIT**
One of the best 56k tweaking guides I've seen yet. 56k Tweak Guide
I was wondering how I would add this to my reg. Its from the speedguide.netAlso add the following entry to your registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AFD\Parameters
Add the parameter BufferMultiplier and give it a value of 400 hexidecimal which will make it 1024.
