Thread: Booting Problem

    I just reformatted my hard drive, everything is ok except when it boots up its
    looking for a "PCI COMMUNICATING DEVICE" and cannot find anything. Does anyone know what this means?
    Changed SPAN settings in sig a YEAR after it was removed

    Check under Start/R-click My Computer/select Properties/Hardware/Device Manager. Sounds as though you need to install your Modem drivers.

    Yep, its looking for modem. But is it searching for drivers for it or the modem? If you're not going to use this device you can disable it at Device Manager

    Turn on your modem, might be the problem.
