My friend got nicked he got a celeron on his computer probably 2.0ghz+

Can he play any games???

celeron's aren't that bad for gaming

he should be able to play some games, the easiest way to find out is just to experiment

I think he'll find that it will be able to run minesweeper on a large grid with flawless performance.

Still though, they are fairly bad, sure not up to snuff compared to a P4 or an athlon XP,
But he should still be able to play games, maybe not the newest or at the best resolution, but I see no reason why most games out there wouldn't play.

i think with an mx420 he can play some opengl games..... and maybe Call of Duty (prolly everything high)

Real problem will prolly be his ram, 256 isn't very much, and since 64 of it will be shared, doesn't leave too much for OS and game.
