    does anyone know of any program that can do this?
    also one which you can edit the sound and adjust the bit rate?

    Please remember that using either of these will mean decoding and re-emcoding the files, resulting in lower quality. You will need to decode the files to make critical joins - if you're joining several parts of a DMC megamix, for example - but I only use SoundForge and do this if I'm going to burn them to an audio CD.

    If the joins are not too critical you can use mp3DirectCut [HERE] to do it without decoding/re-encoding.
