the powercolor one is just an oced version of the original. if it's the same price, it's ur choice. but if the powercolor one is more expensive, then buy the original and oc urselfOriginally posted by jaigandhi5@28 December 2003 - 11:37

actually the powercolor one is cheaper ill buy tht tomorrow...
but it is better than the Fx5600256ddr? right cuz nvidia is for open gl and ati for direct x so if the power color is better i will go grab it!
and also the good part is tht the fx5600 i bought had like 70$ mail in rebate and we had to pay the tax for the original price....(150 sale price) so the powercolor is only 191$ and no mail in rebates so its perfect!
wt do u think?
abu_has_the_power, you can change the resolution ! u didn't know? use the console to change the settings, it's on that doom3 tweaking site (ya, the illegal one, use google). i got it running at 800x600, low settings (everything turned off, and it still looks awesome!, and i'm getting 7-8 fps, 2-3 fps while shooting. and this is on my crappy nvidia geforce2 mx 100/200 32 mb craptacular video card!!!! you think you're happy, i'm more happier than your right now!!!! yay!!! joy to the world, i mean, joy to me!!!!!!!!

I can get up to 50 fps on the alpha - with just one tweak required.

At least, i think that was the command.
Pro : Game suddenly jumps from 25fps to ~50 fps.
Con : Game runs in slow motion. -_-
Pro : Makes alpha easier. ^_^
Con : There's only three levels, why do you want to make it easier, you dolt?
Pro : I can sit there shooting a light and watching the pretty shadows wiggle all around....
Con : hmmm... i think i'll pass.
From what i hear, the version ID was flashing around recently runs a lot better - the final should game play well on even my rig. (Xp2200+, 1gigDDR333, and... a Geforce 3. )
I need to upgrade my card.. its holding me back.
