Fdisk is a utility program that is used to create, delete or modify partitions on a disk drive, you only need to use fdisk if you will have a dual boot system. You can simply format the hd and install xp corp. All you really need is a bootable xp cd.

if you have plenty of hdd space fdisk and dual boot....if its about 10 gig your hdd just format it and install xp pro.
