WTF does "XT" mean? seems like every once in a while, several companies all jump on a bandwagon by using the same abbreviation on their products--

like Nvidia named their budget cards "MX," then Macromedia named their 2001/2002 series of programs "MX," then Logitech releases mice with the abbreviation "MX"... what the hell is MX?

now it's "XT"... i can't wait to see what other XT stuff comes down the pipe...
btw if you are talking about the so-called nvidia 5900XT.... this is wrong.... xt doesnt exist in this case.... users just used it for them to better understand and compare it to ati.... the actual name of nvidia's card is 5900SE

bigdawg...did u read the whole thing b4 jumping to conclusiong?

*The NV35 graphics chip renders four conventional (color + Z) pixels per clock, but is capable of performing 8 operations per clock for Z pixels, textures, and stencil and shader ops.

and some of the ones i found on newegg have 8 pixel pipelines

    Heres a gainward one....

    Specifications:
    Chipset: GeForce FX 5900SE
    Memory: 128MB 2.8ns 256-bit DDR Memory (350MHz clock - 700MHz effective)
    Bus: AGP 8X/AGP 4X Compatibility
    PC 99 DB-15 analog connector (VESA DDC2B + DPMS)
    DVI Connector for Analog/Digital Display
Integrated NVIDIA TV Encoder for TV-Out
22.4 GB per second memory bandwidth
    NVIDIA CineFX™ 2.0 Engine
    NVIDIA Intellisample™ HCT Engine
8 pixels per clock rendering engine

its 185 dollars....and not the last specification....8 pixels per clock rendering engine
