Best Software To Convert Avi,wmv To Vcd

I alway use ahead nero 5
take about 2h to convert a 250mb avi movie to vcd on a PIII 1Ghz 384mb 40Gb PC.
not the fatest but i tried TMPGEnc and EO video... they seem to take forever
EO video convert 1% of my movie in 5min which mean it will take 8h! to convert to vcd

tmpgenc is the best, can't rush quality but over the years people say that main concept is the fastest, just remember to give tmpgenc another go when you get a better computer
moral is anything is better than letting nero do it, should only use nero to burn it, not encode

ahero nero encoding is good enough
I like to try TMPGEnc but to take 6h or more to encode a movie is a big waste of time... could a faster PC help much to improve the speed?

i have used nero for vcd's before but i could not get the lip syn proper but with tmpgenc i had no problem with the lip sync.
i have dvd writer now which means the quality is excellent!
