Thread: Music Decryption ?

  1. #1
Hey all, does anyone know a good program that can break music up into separate channels for editing out either instruments or artists voices?

    Thx

If you mean to rip only the vocal from the Audio track, for example,
I dont think it can be done. Atleast in a way that one could use the tracks later.

You can however, look for the midi-file of the song you wanna rip, download it,
import it to a squencer like Cubase SX and there you could see the notes how the song is played,
depending on who did that midi-file first.

Thanks Guitar-Slinger for taking time to reply, I should have mentioned I have tried Cubase. I 'm trying to rip my own 'Total Guitar like' jamming tracks.

    Thx again.

I heard yesterday that there is a WinAmp Plugin out there somewhere,
that suppose to be able to take the Vocals away from a song.
I will hunt down this "Plugin" and test it myself. I dont have High Hopes tho.

Yes! Probably, i will "test" them later.
I still believe ripping of Vocal, or an instrument from an Audio track
is not possible with a good results. One will loose other stuff also.
I think it could be done with some really Kick-Butt software but i dont think
that kind of software is for Download and more, it would probably Not Work ona "normal PC", one would need Extremely good Souncard system, Pro Tools (Digitech) or something.

Audio is Frequencies, a lot of intruments are in same Fregs.
For example, if i make a song and use my 7-stringer with really heavy sound,
it is always been a Pain in the Ass to have the Guitar sounding separate from the Bass as the sounds are in same Frequencies.
Usually it is just a mess, he he...
But im very interested to try this software.
