I am unfortunately using a 56k modem at the moment and was wondering if anyone can tell me how to reduce the bandwidth used by someone uploading. I dont want to stop them but at the moment someone is getting significantly more from me than I am from my downloads. I have tried using the options to reduce it but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

Just keep sharing Sara. More sources will eventually become available, and your download speeds will start to match the speed at which you are uploading. Good luck.--

use the options for uploads...i found a problem when people were already uploading (i.e. if the speed was already above the limit, it stayed there) but when i restarted, it worked fine. if i were you, id probably set it to half (16/32 K)

    happy sharing
