    what do you mean, parts?
    if it's an mp3, the best thing to do first is decompress it to a .wav.
    then you can play with it.

    there are probably some easier to use progs out there for this type of thing but Cool Edit Pro, now called Adobe Audition i think, will do what you're looking for.

    i just started using it yesterday, but cutting / deleting parts from audio files seems fairly simple - you can just highlight the parts of the track you want to remove by dragging the cursor over it, then click this button:



    you can get 'cool edit pro' from dredwerkz
