Thread: Help Finding Make Of Mobo!

    My dad has acquired a computer for myself and i want to upgrade the cpu is there anyprograms that can detect you make of mobo as i want to know wot cpu it can handle its has DDR. Or is there any markins on the mobo itself that cud tell me??

    My English must be a little rusty as I can only guess at your problem.

    Perhaps you could take a good look at the board and enter any letter/number combinations you find into Google's web search and see what come up?
    if your font size is this small i'll add you to my ignore list because you're wasting my time, OK?

    With later versions of Direct X installed on your hd, I think you can just do the old run>dxdiag and find yer MoBo under 'system model'.

    That doesnt work for me btw.

    But yeah, download AIDA, and it will probably give you all the info you want to know.

    Report back with the info on it.

    Or goto the start menu ,all programs ,accessories ,system tools ,system info.

    It should tell you there mate on the first page "system summary" under system name ,under again system model for the mobo model mumber.I'm if its with all os,i cant rembr.

    If you try Aida32 it tells you quite simply what the make is.Here is a pic of mine
    Gigabyte GA7-VT600 P-L
    Athlon XP2500+ @ 3200+

    Radeon 9200 128 mb
