    HELP PLEASE. TELL ME HOW TO FIX THIS. Downloading a 1.5GB file at 1Kbs SUCKS. Can someone pleaseeee help me fix this. I get like 60 on kazaa....
    [SIZE=1]AMD 4200 X2 @ 2.65Ghz, ASRock 939-VSTA
    1.75GB PC3200, 2 X 160GB Seagate w/ 8MB Buffer
    HIS Radeon X800 Pro, Antec Super Lanboy Aluminum

    wat do yu mean "fix" it wat the hell r u talking about we kant "fix" it.

    i wud reccomend dis yu try playing around with the settings in shad0ws client like teh upload speed and shit and see wat happens

    just leave it alone and it will speed up

    this is wt i do....

    dunt lve the upload speed at dial up...

    put on unlimited for 5-10mins and see if the speed boosts up! sumtimes it duz!
    and then dunt put it back on dial-up put it on SLOW CABLE (10kb upload)

    also while ur downloading from another site download a small or big file at a high speed the btt might boost the download up

    u cud also try diff program

    I'm presuming you've forwarded/opened the necessary ports depending on your FW ?

    Actually thats exactly what ive figured out without reading this..guess we think the same lol..

    And I dont have a firewall, nor do I know how to open ports..but I dont have one so im pretty sure it dont matter.

    I get about 10-15 now..not as good as kaza...but better then 1

    also read the post on port forwarding if you're behind a router or firewall... my speeds would top out at 30 or 40 kb/s but after that i've gotten as high as 200 kb/s for maintained periods of time. this is using abc btw...

    <--------- downloading a 8.45 gb files at 3 kb/s . but every hour it goes up to 400kb/s for like ten minutes then back to 3kb/s
