What exactly are peltier sinks?
Do you just put the cold side on your GPU or CPU and then have the WC running on the hot side?
This is the first ive seen this...what would be the point?

peltiers is the street name for thermal electric cooling. electrons are transfered between the cpu or gpu and the heatsink. this requires an extra psu or a really good central psu. it's expensive and doesn't look as good as wc.Originally posted by bigdawgfoxx@2 January 2004 - 23:16

i was talkin about peltier HOLY SHYT below 0 C thts COLD! jus imagine the overclock on ur cpu abu 2.4c @ 3.8ghz or higher !!
Whats is this then?... Is that just a part of the cooling system. They say on the site that you can use wc with it so Im thinking that would be the same as the peltie kit..one side really cold with one side really hot, being cooled by WC.

lol. with good peltiers, i'd go up to 4.0 or maybe a bit higher. with wc, i'd go up to at least 4.0 if i had a better mobo and good ram
Well then all you need is WC. That would mean a WC system+ that peltier thing I had the link to...how is that very expensive..or am i missing something?
