Hey, when I'm playing the demo version of NFSU it like takes me back to the destop alot and minamizes the game...for no reason. Also BF1942 just shuts off on me...out of the blue...any ideas?

Its called a "crash"
Try downloading some patches etc.

I have all the latest patches. I dont think when it just minamizes the game but doesnt shut it off is a crash, because i can just click on it and play it again...but with bf it completly shuts off.

Try not to press the Windows key or anything like that ingame.
-Windows Key
-Alt Tab
-Alt Space
-Alt F4
try to avoid a control setup that could possibly use any combo of these keys.
Although, by the sounds of it, there's another program interefering. Run a complete virus scan, run adaware, and make sure your gfx/sound drivers are up to date. If it still happens after you've done all that, then its time to start running registry checks.
Does it crash to the desktop at random or have you noticed if it's after playing for x amount of time ? You could maybe try this too. GL
