    Well according to the just posted benchmarks the 5700 is better. But in your oppinion which would you get?

    I find Nvidia way more reliable and its better in the benchmarks so i would say to get the 5700

    Nvidia is not better in the benchmarks. At least not overall. Read adams topic. There The 5700 Wins there.

    The 5700 U may be a wise choice. I would still say the best price/performance is the 9700 Pro for $202. The 9700 Pro will definately outperform the 5700 U.

    Edit: And after reviewing the current asking price for the 5700 Ultra, I conclude that the 9700 Pro is definately a better buy (they want over $200 for it).

    i have a 9600xt and i am VERY pleased wit it good graphics very good frame rates and over its a great card (plus yu get half life 2 for free when it komes out

    get teh 9600xt

    Get the 9700Pro. Its $20 more then the cheapest 5700Ultra, and its much better.

    its better than both the 9600xt and the 5700u in almost all tests

    or a 9700 (or 9500) pro (good luck)
