Thread: Unnecessary Progs To Disable

  1. #1
I know it is days old but Happy New Year everyone.

I did a clean install and wanted to find that list progs/features that can be disabled that are resource hogs and unnecessary. I am referring to items that u can enable manually and automatically or just plain disable them completely from starting up. It is posted somewhere in software world but not as a topic so it is hard to find - any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just thought I'd throw in the granddaddy of all tweakers, Xteq X-Set up. This little bitch will let you tweak up to 1500 settings. The dangerouse ones are mostly disabled and have to be turned on when selected. Even so, be careful and make SURE you know what your doing or you Can Bork Your System!!

That said, good luck and have fun!!

Answers that work.com are for task programs. They run in the background. It sounds like you want programs that start at bootup.Go to Pac's portal.they have a list of startup programs. http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_index.htm
