ok well i realized that my idle temps on my computer where a little high and my cpu was near 60 on load so i decided to cool. Im starting with cables and heres what i did, i didn't wanna spen hours doing this so im only measuring my idle temps

i turned my floppy cable into a rounded one with a knife and some duct tape and while it did not affect my cpu or motherboard there are still 5 more cables or so..... but the point is before both my hds were at 42C but after hd1 went to 35c and hd0 went down to 30C, it seemed a little drastic but now im gonna do the other cables any thoughts? advice?

yea they dunt cool ur computer but they are thin....so they dunt come in the way of any airflow....

    so they give better airflow

well ill goto bestbuy someday but if doing stuff with household items gets it cool why spend money, maybe my cable jungle is preventing airflow causeing the heat?

unless you have a really tiny case, i dont thinkg the cables are going to matter that much (meaning it matter, but not much) fans are really cheap these days...you can get 2 for under $15

oh yea, at james, they have....and its called hte side panel

i bought a really expensive fan 30 dollars canadian

but it's a smart fan, if temp goes up fan goes faster

but it helped my computer to stay 10 degrees cooler
