@nightwolf, what you said....well basically yea. i spent my money on the game once and im not spedning $30 on it again for a 15 digits number....and if they guy bought it and find out the cd key doesnt work, he could exchange it for another copy.

I don't know about other games, but the manual for Call of Duty clearly states that if you lose your CD Key you WILL NOT be given a new one. That's why whenever I buy a game that requires a key, I write it down somewhere inside the manual, which I usually keep in my filing cabinet, and I also type it into an encrypted database on my PC. I've never lost a key in over 20 years of gaming.

i hung up....been on phone for like 30 mins and all i get is advertising for their games.......
oh well, guess ill have to go and buy counter-strike again.....or maybe i could find a copy of hl for real cheap....or i could wait to get hl2.....you think the keys in there will work for cs? im thinking no

Didn't read much of the thread cos I'm in a hurry but when I need to take a game back I get my sister, girlfriend or better yet my mother to take it back for me. For some reason women are much better at these sorts of things and the sales assistants rarely believe they are "pulling a fast one."
And best of all women usually carriy on arguing until they get their way just to shut them up and get rid of them. (sexist maybe, true defiently).

He didn't lose it. Some guy with a keygen got lucky.
