Thread: A Drive Problem

    hi i wonder if you can help

    i've recently bought a new computer

    the only thing that i'm not happy with is my a drive

    if i try to save or open a from my a drive

    it makes strange noises and takes ages

    i'm useing xp is this normal or should i go back to my supplier to fit new one

    my a drive on my old computer was a lot faster

    are you talking about your floppy drive?
    the floppy drive is generally very slow and noisy in comparison to other storage drives

    yes it&#39;s the floppy drive i try to save text files
    but it&#39;s so slow that i end up cancelling

    have you checked the connection cable(s) inside?

    has the floppy drive ever worked? or is it only causing problems every so often?

    If he recently bought the computer prebuilt opening the case automatically voids the warranty. Sometimes they have stickers and check.

    i suppose the best advice would be to take it back to where you got it from...if you don&#39;t want to get your hands dirty anyway
