    I got a movie that is in the format .mkv... What do I need to play that?

    I currently have:
    - Nimo Codec Pack 9 Beta 1
    - K-Lite Codec Pack 2.20

    If you use the Full version of the K-Lite Codec Pack then you can use BSplayer to play .mkv files.

    It is a matroska file btw. It's a container like avi and it can contain different formats of audio/video.

    Or just use Media Player Classic.It includes a built-in version of MatroskaSplitter.
