I saw this a few days ago, the Athlon 64 FX-51 tops this, but not by much.

I thought the 3200XP ran at 2.2Ghz. This 3400XP is running at 2.2Ghz? How is that any faster? Or does the Athlon 64 3200 just run at 2Ghz?

I think the 64 is going to be the wave of the future.. Intel needs to get off its ass or get left behind....

And think if you can oc a 3200 or 3400 like you can a 2500 barton...

Hey Big I think I found your answer Here...

wasn't the 3.2 in the tests a regular 3.2? well, the only reason intel's waiting is becuz there's not many software that can run on a 64 bit core. and they want to watch amd stumble as they release a very early edition of a 64 bit cpu, and have most of the software not run on it. lol. then intel brings out the big guns and releases a monster cpu that will crush all cpus!

I agree with this statement. Amd has some probs with there 64bits and are gona make new sockets I hear....Intel should just wait untill 64bit will actually have software...but untill then perfect the chip
