Me and my friend would like to connect our PCs together, and we thought we could mybe connect them with our modems (56k) ?!?!

I have heard something about that, it's called Home Phoneline Network (HPN) ??

Does someone know how to do that ?? If not I'm going to buy two NIC's (Network Interface Cards) and a cable and that's it.
I want to know it just for phun

hell no

connecting PCs with 56ks wont work

u need special gear for HPNA

a powerline network could always work... that sounds funny

again, if u want to make a good, expandable p2p network, get powerline adapters and network thru those

I would think you would spend less than $20 for two nics and a crossover cable to connect them. Then simply set up home networking (assuming you've got XP) and you are sorted.

Yes, I'm runing Windows XP Pro.

How fast is such a connection between two NIC's (PC's) ??

Get you self two NIC's because they are cheap as dirt. (AU$8) and a crossover cable.

It transfers at 100mb/s.
