Yeah, your 9600XT will have a fan on it, and your 5 case fans will carry out the hot air it puts out rather easily.

    Although I would suggest buying a 9800 regular, and softmodding/overclocking to a 9800Pro
the 9600 xt isn't that good. sped the $ to get a 9800 non pro or a 9700pro

hmm the thing is that I can get an ATI Radeon 9600XT for 250 canadian
and the 9800 regular is probably a lot more then that, if anyone knows the price, i'd like to know though
I know the 9800se is 219 or so for a saphire one
and the pro is 400 for the saphire or 450 for ATI radeon

Hmm, I was just googling around, and why am I not seeing any regular 9800's?

Are there just SE's, and Pros, and XTs? No Non Pros for the 9800's? Well thats news to me.

don't worry john lennon, i did do a google before posting, and thats all i came up with as well
i never realised that they didnt make a regular 9800
but i hear talk all the time of people softmodding a regular to a pro, well if theres no regular what are they talkin about?! maybe going from se to pro?

oh and the 9600XT comes with HL2 which is nice cuz i would end up buying it anyway

You know, thats exactly what I was freaking thinking.

Maybe their are talking about a 9800Pro to XT mod?

But anyway, if you can find a 9700Pro, or a 9500Pro for less than the 9600XT, then dont go for the 9600.

4-Some 9500 Non Pros (ones with L shaped memory usually) can be overclocked and softmodded to show up as a 9700Pro.
3-9500Pro's can be easily overclocked to 9700Pro stats.
2-9700 Non pros (im pretty sure they existed.) are good overclockers.)
1-9700 Pros are excellant as well.
