Hey is there any real performance difference between an ATI Radeon card, or a Powercolor one? Both 9600XT
if not what are you paying extra for in the Radeon?

ATI has a much greater qaulity than powercooler... powercooler is simply an offbrand... if you ever pushed your card... it wouldn't take as much as an ATI would...
I can't seem to find any of these ATi produced cards. Only other brands bringing them out on ATi chipset.
my 9700Pro powercolor seems to be great...great scores and stuff...no need to overclock it anyway..im happy with it.

I disagree.I have talked to numerous techs at numerous shops and asked them the difference between the "Built by ATI" and the powercolor's sapphire, etc and have been told eveytime that the difference is in the price.I am sure that some companies don't make an up to par product but most do.Originally posted by SciManAl@18 January 2004 - 17:52

ATI knows that there will always be lets say 40% of their market that are willing to pay XX number of dollars more just because the card says"built by ATI" .
