    Installing Norton AntiVirus Virus Definitions (1 of 1), failed.
    LU1821: LU1821: This update failed because it tried to overwrite a file that was in use. Close all of your Symantec applications and run LiveUpdate again.

    have you updated to live update 2.0? if not, try that.....the updated live update may fix whatever is wrong. if youre already using live update 2.0, check the following from symantecs site......

    Error: "LU1821: This update failed because it tried to overwrite a file that was in use..."
