Finger Nail Biting

Anyone got any good suggestions to help me stop biting my finger nails. Its been a habbit i have had since i was very little and i cant seem to stop!!! Soon i will have no finger nails left and i dont want that to happen. Any ideas?

My Ma used to put some kind of disgusting nail varnish that tasted VILE if you put it in your mouth....

Worked though.

Apparently there's a special lotion you can buy in Afganistan - it's pretty expensive so you'd probably have to steal it from a shop - actually if you get caught that'll solve your problem

When I was younger we started to put cortizone cream on mine so they would heal (I bit them until they were practically bloody) It turns out that when you ingest cortizone cream orally it tastes awful and increases blood flow the skin in your mouth and throat. A horrid taste and the sense that my throat was swelling shut was enough to make me quit.

How do you know earwax taste bad?, have you tried it?

I use to eat the nails too,
very bad habit especially if ya play guitar.

Took some serious concentration to stop it.
