Annoying Colour Difference ...

Hey all ... Im sure there a way around this annoying problem I have.
Im skinning my forum and as I'm leaving some images the same (such as the 'add reply' button, I'm still having to change the background colour but this is the problem. Im using a certain shade of blue for the forums background and when changing the buttons background colour to match .. it actually comes out a lot darker even though it (should be) the exact same (as its the same hex code).

Any ideas for this?

Dont worry ... I seem to have found a way round it.
