  1. #1
sometimes when my pc crashes it does a disk scan for errors. when it finishes it displays the results eg, 54,000 bytes in files, 456.000 in ... so on and so fourth but one of the displayed results says this, 2076662 bytes in bad sectors; can someone tell me what that means please?

it means ur hard-drive is physically damaged and that it has sealed off the parts that are. therefore u will have lost a small amount of diskspace, and if u continue 2 get bad sectors u will lose more and more hard-drive space. bad sectors are cause by a variety of things such as power cuts, crash's, etc...
