No Picture On Cd After Burning On Nero

Hi! I downloaded this movie and now i put it on a cd-r using Nero but when I played it on my dvd it says it's playing but there isn't any picture showing....can any1 help me?

nero does a shity job encoding, use tmpgenc, guides below

I am not a professional, but as I know many SVCD and VCD are *.MPG or *.MPEG
files, means: If you have an MPG you can use to burn it as a Video CD.

And with the tool VobSub you can convert between many formats.
