those r useful if u oc ur ram. meaning tweak ur ram timings and mess with the ram voltage. if u don't do these things, there's no point
Can you prove that, Abu? [/b][/quote]
Thats the main thing ther Clocker. Yeah, logically overclocking your ram makes more heat, and Spreaders disperse heat, so spreaders help overclocking, but there's no way to prove it, and nobody swears by heat spreaders.

Sure there's a way to prove it.
Clock a RAM module with and without the spreaders and see if there is a difference.
I've read where guys have stripped their RAM of the spreaders and actually gotten higher clock speeds, the conclusion being that the spreaders are actually trapping heat.
Who knows?

You know, I have seen that posted by a few people on my AMDMB forum, and have been meaning to do that one of these days to see if I can get similar results.

Of course I cant seem to get those blasted spreaders off.

That kinda scares me too and I'm not willing to risk the sticks that I have.

It seems to me that in order to dissipate more heat you need more surface area.

Wow, Virtualbody, where did you find those?

Edit: I found them:

here
