    Hey all,
Im looking for a simple php/mysql shoutbox to use on my site.
Have tried loads today but heres the probz ive come across:

    * Simply not working so i get wierd errors
    * Remotely hosted ones are crap, too slow
    * Far to complex for my liking and dont need something to advanced

Well, there were more problems, but I want a simply shoutbox where the background colour can be set, its not an i-frame, and you get few features like ip-banning.

Anyone know of any decent ones?

    Cheers

Do you have cpanel hositng? ....

if so .. then you you will have the name already as you created it.
In most cases the server is: localhost

The db name will either the name name you created, though have your cpanel username us a prefix, for example: username_dbname.

    Good luck

If you don't have access to CPanel, and know that you have MySQL, you could contact your host and ask them for the datbase information.
