Restore Points Log Ins

all my restore points are gone..windows xp....i also can't log into forums....except this one and i had to do it 3 times...help....

Create some new restore points, and make sure your browser allows cookies. To create a restore point go to the system tools and click on system restore.

but what happened to my old ones?? also i'm having problems downloading from k-lite now...had to sign in again....been using this comp. over a year and had restore points 2 days ago...
