Thread: 4662 Anyone?

  1. #1
hi, i'm using zone alarm and it keeps blocking port 4662 incoming attempts from many different ips.

i was using bt at that time, and i've no problem downloading. so i was wondering is this port meant for bittorrent? should i open it?

    thx,

it sounds more like people are attempting to connect to your ed2k files. alot of ed2k clients save sources long after you exit your ed2k client, it should peter off

    ed2k, overnet... same thing
you can allow it, they just won't connect to overnet if overnet aint running.
or you can block it except when overnet is running, it's up to you
