I'd personally go with FF7. The storyline in 8 just seemed a little rushed, even from the offset. Couldn't get in to that one at all.

Yeah, ok, so 7 doesnt have the best graphics ever. It's an early PSX game, so you wouldn't expect it to. But it does have one of the better storylines, and thats what i play adventure games for.

I agree 7 was the best. GREAT story line, didn't change the feel like 8 and up.

VIII Story was lame
IX same as 8
X made the bastard missions come on thats not a FF game
X2 same a X ( and OMG how lame was the voice overs, didnt even sync it)

XI havent tried it, but i like the online deal.

lol, all u chumps want is graphics. the best one was FFVI. longer than the norm and a lot more characters and was just plain more fun. ffviii was a fagot game. ffvii was prob the better one out of the new ones. ffix was pretty cool and went back to roots. ffx was fun and graphics were good, but the damn thing was on a baby's level. to easy! ffx-2 haven't played yet (but the demo) and just seems retarded, but then again i haven't played it yet so i can't comment. maybe all u new gamers should try out the older versions of the series be4 u make any comments. i started with ff1 and am ready for ffx-2. how bout u? u guys probably started with ffvii and have been brainwashed with graphics and not game play. grow up!

what are you talking about all the FF"s got the same storyline

FF7 = Save The World of the comet
FF8 = Save The World of Sorceress
FF9 = Save The World From The Dude
