no this one...and you apply some on your heatsink and cpu after removing the thermalpad and cleaning it with some rubbing alcohol

It has Heatsink but does it come with a termal pad? (the intel i am getting)

Also how much, just a thin layer?

yes the retail cpu that you gettin comes with a heatsink that has a thermalpad on it
it's just a thin layer.

Well over here, they&#39;re letting you preorder the Prescotts for about £30 cheaper than the older and worse Northwoods.

EDIT: I really think you should wait. If anything, the prices of Northwoods will also drop very low, but it seems to me that Prescotts are even cheaper.

Nah, i never had a good computer before. I know the one i am getting now is pretty solid, and i don&#39;t want to get a chip that i find out is over hyped.


Here its &#036;200, but another site says &#036;600


Also i am planning to upgrade my PC every once and awhile, so if its anygood later i can get it.

just like when they first released P4 it wasnt the best cpu
but as the stepping improved the cpu became better and better
i think the same will happen with the Prescott...just give it some time and it will be a great cpu
