    Once i had a love and it was divine.
    Soon found out i was losing my mind.
    It seemed like the real thing but i was so blind.
    Mucho mistrust.
    Love's gone behind.
    In between "what i find is pleasing" and "i'm feeling fine", love is so confusing.
    There's no peace of mind if i fear i'm losing you.

    Those lyrics do appear in Sparkling Diamonds, which is really (like most of the songs in Moulin Rouge) a medley of others. So technically he's right. Plus Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend's been recorded many times over.

    so, he does
    the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
    and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
    the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
    and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
    the germans are like "wtf, h4x"

    Thats why I was confused, I Googled the lyrics to both songs. The results for the second song showed both Nicole Kidman - Sparkling Diamonds and Marilyn Monroe - Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend.
