some say it helps to stop the RIAA into looking at what you are doing. And helps block those ad sites too.

I think it stops you from connecting to certain IP's and stops them from connecting to you.

He said it's not working. Which is the same problem I am having, even though I have the latest version. It fails to get the peerguardian list.

i've never been able to connect to peerguardian with the IP updater in klite

anyway, try this out the Blocklist Manger,
pretty cool, connects to multiple sources and coverts to multiple formats B)
    you can find it here:

    http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index.php?showforum=3

(try out his latest, cause he's been working out some bugs,
if you cant get one of those working i'll upload the version i'm using) B)
I am just a worthless liar. I am just an imbecile.
I will only complicate you. Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you. I will chew it up and leave.
I will work to elevate you just enough to bring you down.

KL++'s INTERNAL ip blocker works better than using Peer Guardian along with KL++.

This is because KL++ can block a connection BEFORE it is made while Peer Guardian tries to stop a connection in progress. On fast broadband connections, a link can be made and data sent BEFORE the connection is broken... not good. Plus, making and breaking lots of connections tends to be hard on windows networking.

So worst-comes-to-worst, the thing you might want to do is manually copy Peer Guardian's block list into KL++'s block list. They're both text files, so it's a pretty trivial copy and paste. B)
