first of all what you need to do is to move all your files from shared folder to a temp and once my shared folder is empty then turn klite on and see if you still have that problem.
if so then you need to delete the db folder, in order to see the "application data" folder you have to enable the view of hidden files in your shared folder.
tools>folder options>view> here check the box for ?show hidden files"
I don't have folder options in ktools (2.4.3). Do you think people not being able to upload from me is anything to do with computer firewalls?

no but i am not d/ling any big files and thats when it seems to happen.
p.s. anyideas about the uploading thing?
