My cousin got a PC for free this morning off a mate and he doesnt know jack shit about PC's so he asked if i can have a look at it.

I checked it out, 600mhz, 128mb ram, 10gb hdd yeah pretty descent pc and it was free.

I noticed the video card has duel monitor support so i took the card out and had a look.

In device manager it sais its a Matrox G400 32MB so i checked i googled it and well.. this is what i found

    http://www.oscommerce.com/osCommerce22ms2/...p?products_id=2

This freaking card is $500 bucks!!

I didn get a chance to stuff around with it because he had to go.

Now do i say to him that this card is a POS and to give him $10 for it or tell him how much its worth ?

J/K i wouldnt rip my cousins off

So is it a good gaming card ?

Not really, my basic answer would be that the 32mb ram on the card will limit its overall performance... It may be better designed to handle two moniters though... ie. extend the taskbar across both mointers etc...

I would say that is a for the office card, and possibly graphics editing...

It simply lacks the punch required to play games...

that is a 3d editing/ graphics editing video card, like ATI's FireGL cards, still worth selling and getting a 9800 XT

I put this video card in my Game Boy. Installation was pretty much a bitch and the manual did not come with instructions on how to install into a Game Boy. So I had to hire this weird guy at my work named Samson who sits in the back corner and his cubicle smells like tuna fish. Once he told me that the people in the office next door were special agent ninjas from the Ukraine and that they had the whole place bugged and could hear everything that we said. I slapped him for that one.
    wtf?

Matrox is best served sauteed over a slow heat with garlic and fresh coriander leaves and cream. Perfect with a 1998 Hunter Valley Semillion, slightly chilled.....
    lolololololololol

This card squirted poisonous goo in my eyes, then kicked me in the groin and ran away, what a waste of money!
