    What is the diffrence between a regular portable cd player and a portable mp3 cd player?

    a mp3 cd [layer can play mp3s straight of the cd without writing it as a audio cd, u can fit about 200mp3s on one cd.

    yeah, there quite good, mines also plays vcds

    how can it play vcds when it is a cd player? How do you hook it up to a tv?

    What make is yours? I had a mercury one and it was a piece of utter crap.
    It had trouble playing mp3's never mind vcd's, only managed to get it play 1.

    Got a sony atrac now, dosen't play vcd's. But it does play cd's with about 24 hours worth of music, when encoded in the atrac format.

    its a napa, dav311 im sure. vcd are put on normal cds, and its just the same idea as mp3s, it has a t-out socket.

    it also has a small credit card sized remote control.
