Buying A Harddrive

i want to get a new hard drive 40gb-60gb but i dont know what to get could u help me :helpsmile:

you should get one that runs at 7200 rpm and maybe with an 8MB buffer, this should get the best transfer speeds

as for the rest it doesn't really matter

PS make sure it is an IDE (ATA66/100/133) and NOT SATA

How much are you willing to spend? The 80GB is only an extra £10 and with 8MB cache it's only a couple of extra £.

Did you get that price from overclockers.co.uk, that's a good place to buy. I use them for pretty much everything now.

then ill have 160gb storage

Why not SATA?

If his board supports it, SATA is faster and the way all new HDDs will be connected in the near future.
