Thread: Virus Alert

  1. #1
    Hi All

Yesterday my system reported a virus during d/l. The virus was W32.pinfi.

I can't say for sure which d/l had the bug as when I went to the K Dat tool the reported file didnot appear to exist in the list.

I don't know if the following helps as I'm not sure if this number is unique to my machine, perhaps somebody can explain this.

    download10760070191790264.dat

Norton managed to sort it out eventually as at first it said the file was not accessible etc, but whne I ran vcheck on the relevant folder the file was found and dealt with.

    Ken

that is what dat files look like, that is that dat file's name. anybody downloads that dat file should see the same # unless i'm wrong, in which case dg_mortal or error403 will post here and let you know.
