    what is the difference between the AVG v7 pro and AVG free edition?

    in ur opinion, which is better?

    That&#39;s very true. The payd version has just a cool interface and support.

    The free version has free virus definitions updates too.The pro has support from Grisoft in case if you got some nasty virus and you can&#39;t get rid of it , so you can send e-mails to Grisoft and ask for help.

    Not really. 7.0 is way better than the free edition. It supports more features like switching the interface, having more scanning modes, which are completely configurable. And it&#39;s must faster updating and scanning. It&#39;s also easier to get rid of tough viruses. Like if you look on Grisoft&#39;s site at the manuals to get rid of some of the tougher viruses, 7.0 takes less steps.

    AVG Free = Basic user interface and basic set of functions.

    AVG Pro = More detection tests, create new tests suited to your needs, heal infected files using Test Results, and more.

    Although I dont use either of the two. Its so easy to get the paid version for free I would just go that route if I were you. You can rest assured that if your getting a "free" edition of an av then its going to be lacking something.

    How many people on this forum actually PAY for software?

    It&#39;s real easy to get... anything, if you think about it.
