    Is there some sort of software for taking screenshots from DVD's?

    "print screen" may not work with movies, i'm not sure. Have a go anyway to see.

    If it doesnt work you can download some software that was mentioned in this forum recently (cant remember the name )

    Yeah "prt scr" should work. I dont know if it will work if you take a shot in fullscreen though

    It wont work right? ...I'm useing PowerDVD and Photoshop, tried it in full and half screen, when I take the shot all I get is black?

    Okay... Alt+Print Scrn.

    And a common way to get around that problem is to open a tiny window somewhere and to a print screen with that window active.

    I have used Snagit before but not for videos. It does say that it captures video screenshots as well though. The trial is fully functional so that should hold you over for 30 days B)

    Either your video is DRM'd up the ass or your video is using overlay, Print Screen tends to ignore that.
