    can i use 4x dvd-r disk`s in my burner even if its a 2x dvd-r rom.

    if the discs say they will run at 1x-4x then yes they will work on a 2x burner but if it only specifies that they are 4x (so now 1x-4x) then dont bother buying them becuase there is a chance that they wont work.

    every disk on the market sez "up to whatever speed" where whatever is the #

    in otherwords, any dvdr/rw u pick up should be compatible with ur drive unless the extension is wrong

    well i have a bunch of cheap CD-R&#39;s that say on them 1x-40x but when i put them into my drive they will only go at 2x 4x 8x 12x and 40x , nothing between 12 and 40, then when i read the label again it says suported speeds: <ones listed above>
